Two months ago a crack commando Vandal unit was sent to radio prison by a kangaroo court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security studio to the Luton underground. Today, still dedicated to championing new indie and alternative music, they survive as Vandals of fortune. Vandalism Begins at Home Radio is the new music show where we scour the globe for the latest and greatest new-release indie and alternative tunes from each week, so you don’t have to, and we stuff them in your ears and, hopefully, your hearts.
Hosted by co-conspirators James Cunliffe and Ben Barry, two members of the Vandalism Begins at Home collective responsible for a music ‘zine, gig promotions, record label and now this show.
You can take your polls, phone-ins and popularity contests, your trending social media metrics and algorithms,, your trust-fund showbiz nepotism, backhanders and various other nefarious ways that artists get screwed over just to get their music heard. Vandalism Begins at Home Radio offers you one rule – if we like it, we play it.
We will celebrate the great new indie and alternative music that makes us happy in the hope that it makes you happy. When people say rock n roll is dead, or that there’s no great music being made any more, they, are, wrong! We promise you that.
