We’re on a mission to ignite the home fires and keep them burning with a 4-Track vinyl EP and UK tour. The record boasts 4 of the finest bands/artists from the local melting pot of talent across our region. We aim to fund the project through a Kickstarter, which is now live. There are tons of bundles and pledges that can be pre-ordered which will help us release the record into the wild on glorious 12″ vinyl. We need your help to make this happen and any media coverage you can offer will be a big help.
The ‘Leave The Capital’ EP and tour will highlight what can be achieved away from label millions and showbiz city slickers, harnessing a DIY attitude for passion, not profit. The 4 featured artists will not only showcase their individual talents, but will play their part in elevating their local scene during a time when it has never been more important to do so.
JW Paris and Tragic were handpicked by the project team to be part of the story and we’re delighted that Luna Rosa and The Seven Sentinels were selected by our judging panel of Hana Staddon (BBC 6Music), Gareth Barber (Esquires), Danny Watson (Radio Promo) and Suzanne Fletcher (Musicians Against Homelessness) to join the project.
Project: Leave The Capital is a truly collaborative affair, which is showing what can be achieved when 4 independent forces work together with a common purpose; the combined efforts of Blaggers Records, blender, Transmission and Vandalism Begins At Home want you to be a part of a legacy to support emerging artists and create a springboard to turn the lens on the talent that we have right on our doorstep.
THE BANDS
JW Paris have been praised by Chris Hawkins as sounding like “where gritty meets swaggery”, and the band have earned radio play from Steve Lamacq, Radio X and Absolute Radio for their infectious indie rock ‘n’ roll.
A run of superb singles and a debut EP has propelled Tragic into all the right conversations and onto ‘Ones to Watch’ lists. It has been said, “there is no stopping Tragic’s blistering, post-punk attack”. There are big things to come from this Northampton band. Think METZ meets IDLES and you’re somewhere close!

Helmed by the inimitable Bombshell – a battle-scarred MC, The Seven Sentinels are a grime-tinged force to be reckoned with.
Raw & frenzied tones with a post-punk DNA create the enigmatic backdrop for an unrivalled intensity that is delivered from the soul. Gripping psychedelic guitars, pounding basslines and primal beats forge a wall of sound that is Luna Rosa.
