The man on the street has no home
Has no other choice but to wonder and roam
If only we could help but we can’t help everyone
He is one of many, he’s far from alone.
Begging for money, for food and for drink
People all staring, what do they think
Folk can be rude, cruel and absurd
He just has a story waiting to be heard.
Take time to listen, respect and be kind
He might want to tell you, what’s on his mind
You might be shocked, by what he might say
Don’t you dare judge, might be you one day.
